TRAINING &

DEVELOPMENT

A key part of developing a competency is training.  The USA’s Department of Transportation (DoT) defines training as:  ‘An educational or instructional process (e.g., classroom, computer-based, or on-the-job) by which an individual’s knowledge, skills, and his/her capacity to do or act, physically and/or mentally, are improved.’

Training is an educational or instructional, aimed at improving knowledge and skills through demonstration, instruction, and practice.

COMPETENCE CLUB

The Competence Club is a knowledge transfer initiative by the ROSEN Group in collaboration with pipeline industry experts, that offers a variety of self-paced online awareness level courses in pipeline operation, inspection, integrity, or risk. These courses have been developed by experts and practitioners, to help individuals leverage their competency development and stay on top of the industry needs.

The QPPI Certification Board does not require completion of any training course offered by the Competence Club, or any other training provider, as a requirement for certification.
